I would like this to be a place where we can share our favorite recipes with each other.
We all have memories connected to food and our times together.

If you have a recipe that your family loves or a recipe that has been passed down in your family, please share it with us! We would love to know the story that goes with it too. That will make it even better!

Cheesy Potato Soup

3 Cups boiling water
3 chicken boullion cubes
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped carrots
4 medium potatoes diced to measure about 2 cups

Add vegetables to boiling water and boullion. Cook 30 minutes until veggies are done.

Then mix:
½ cup flour
2 cups milk
2 tsp salt

Pour above mixture slowly into vegetables, stirring briskly. Cook until thickened.

Add 1-3 cups grated mild cheddar or Colby jack cheese (I used 1 cup) and ¼ cup butter or margarine. Stir until melted and serve.

Yummy soup! The only thing I would do different next time is use less salt. It was quick and easy too.
