I would like this to be a place where we can share our favorite recipes with each other.
We all have memories connected to food and our times together.

If you have a recipe that your family loves or a recipe that has been passed down in your family, please share it with us! We would love to know the story that goes with it too. That will make it even better!

Grandma's Mandarin Orange Cake

2 cup sugar
2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 11oz. cans of mandarin oranges

Mix all of the ingredients together including the oranges and the juice.
Lightly grease and flour a 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. (or 325 for 30-35 min. in a glass pan)
Do not even peek at the cake for 25 min at least!

Topping -
3/4 brown sugar
6 Tbsp. canned milk
2 Tbsp. butter
Stir until it boils and pour over the cake as soon as in comes out of the oven.
Serve with whipping cream! SO yummy!

This is Grandma (LaVon) Funk's recipe. It is one of our family favorites. It is the best. It may take a couple tries to get it just like Grandma's :) Enjoy!
